I think we are at the point in HTPC computing that it might be time to start abandoning this strong dislike of 64 bit OS's and figure out which issues are still left instead of of saying "well there is issues so lets do nothing". I put on 7 64 ultimate No issues I tried 7MC and had no issues either. Of all the extras I needed, 64 bit versions were available. I think it would be more advantageous to have everyone try to move to 64 bit just so we can have a single OS instead of having 2 flavors.

Once I got the codec issues fixed like with any install of a new OS I have not had any problems at all with 64 bit. Programs have come a long way with supporting 64 bit from when I was trying to get everything to work. My suggestion would be to make sure all the programs you use are supported in 64 bit.
