How many tries to get bee shield

It's a Legendary Shield and is a very rare drop from " Hunter Hellquist " see below to learn more about getting the shield. The shield will carry with it better stats if dropped in PT2. The Bee can be dropped from "Hunter Hellquist" see section below for in depth instructions on how to kill him at any level at which you can kill him. The shield will scale to your level up to a point point unknown. To get the absolute best version of this shield you must farm Hunter Hellquist on PT2.

I get that more spawn inthe same area than Hunter does. Could be time for some testing… I do need some decent Bees. How many kills of each boss would make a good enough sample size do you reckon? Sold dozens of them off. This opens the side door to the compound. Walk into the compound and position yourself face to face with Hunter Hellquist. This kills Hunter, who will then drop one or more items, which may or may not include The Bee Shield.

Save and quit your game after looting Hunter, and repeat steps 1 through 7 as many times as needed until Hunter drops The Bee Shield. This item is rare, and has an extremely low drop rate.
